Reside Communities is a boutique retirement living developer with a growing portfolio of villages across South East Queensland. With several brands under the Reside Communities umbrella, the work completed during my tenure with the organisation was diverse and creative. With most of the brands in fledgling states in 2019, a large part of my role was to refine and polish these emerging brands, shaping a cohesive and confident presence in market that truly reflected the quality and care of the communities themselves.

Reside Communities Costs and Contracts Brochure
Buying into a retirement village can be complicated, so the Costs and Contracts Brochure was developed to assist retirees and their families with understanding the costs associated with purchasing in a retirement village.

Reside Communities Style Guide
As a start-up organisation, Reside Communities was running with a very simple style guide, developed with the initial brand, that was no longer fit for purpose. With more villages incorporated as sub-brands and an overall initiative to improve brand presence in market, I was tasked with developing a robust style guide to ensure a cohesive look as the parent brand quickly evolved. By adding earthy browns to accompany the punch teal hero shade, the brand remained distinctive to their competitors in the retirement sector.

Pandemic Swing Tags
Developed as part of a suite of assets during the Covid-19 pandemic, these swing tags were attached to gift baskets and goodie bags provided to residents. Aiming to boost wellbeing, the tags were designed with a dotted line that represented a hug during a time when they were unable to socialise with their neighbours due to the closure of village facilities.

Brookland Community Centre Map
During the development of a new state-of-the-art community centre at Brookland Robertson, this map was developed for the residents to showcase the space and facilities they would get to enjoy once complete. The map was designed to be detailed with particular attention placed on landscaping as a preview to the lush planting planned for the area.

Esperance Press Ads
With an older demographic target market, Reside Communities invested heavily in traditional print media. The above showcases two of the ads developed for Esperance Hope Island to gain interest in the wider Gold Coast area. Placed primarily in the Gold Coast Bulletin and local lifestyle magazines, the ads showcase renders of the development and create a glimpse of the laidback lifestyle future residents could enjoy once moved into their apartments.

Brookland Sales Brochure
As Brookland was redeveloped, a suite of luxe, editorial sales collateral was developed – including this sales brochure – to assist purchasers with their decision and showcase the features of the village, as well as the social and wellbeing benefits of living in a retirement village. This was a new direction for Brookland, which was first developed in the 1980s, and featured sleek layouts, image-first design and an evolution of the original branding developed a few years earlier. The final piece was printed on uncoated stock and placed in the sales centre as a coffee table book.

Esperance Floor Plans and Floor Plate
To assist the Sales Manager with sales while Esperance Hope Island was still in the construction stage, a full suite of floor plans and floor plates was developed to illustrate the different layouts that could be purchased within the development, along with the facilities future residents could enjoy once moved in. Developed in Illustrator, these floor plans required a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate representations of the architectural plans, while also being engaging and marketable.

Samford Grove Location Guide
While selling a new development in Samford Village, an outer suburb of north west Brisbane, it was identified that a large buyer pool lived in the suburbs of Keperra, Arana Hills, Ferny Grove, Ferny Hills, Upper Kedron and Bunya. To assist the Sales Manager with capturing those markets and to show potential buyers just how close Samford Village was to their current homes, a Location Guide insert was developed for the sales package showing not only the close distance from these suburbs but the abundant local amenities available in Samford Village.

Esperance Nurture Brochure
Much of the early marketing of Esperance Hope Island was conducted before ground was broken on construction, which required creative solutions to ensure customers stayed informed as the village was built. The above is an example of a Nurture Brochure that was developed and sent to prospective buyers who had signed up for updated to keep them informed and engaged with the sales team.
